Skumu AI, Inc. ("Skumu," "Company," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit skumu.ai, access app.skumu.ai, use any related hosted software, interfaces, communications, content, or services offered by Skumu AI, Inc. (collectively, the "Services"), or otherwise interact with us. By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to:
- The public-facing website located at skumu.ai.
- The hosted application located at app.skumu.ai.
- Related product features, communications, support interactions, and online services operated by Skumu.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites, services, or applications that are not operated or controlled by Skumu, even if they are linked from the Services.

Where enabled, we may use analytics and performance tools to understand traffic, usage, and interaction data across the Services. We use Cloudflare to support content delivery, performance, network security, and related infrastructure functions.
You can control certain cookies through your browser settings. Blocking or disabling some technologies may affect the functionality of the Services.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information in the ordinary meaning of that term. We may disclose information in the following circumstances:

- AI service providers, including Anthropic, where necessary to enable AI-powered functionality requested by users.

- Protection of rights and security, including where necessary to investigate or prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, or violations of our agreements.
- Corporate transactions, including an actual or proposed merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction.
6. AI-Enabled Features and Data Handling
Some features of the Services may rely on third-party AI providers, including Anthropic.
Customer Content submitted to AI-enabled features is processed solely as necessary to provide, operate, secure, maintain, support, and improve the functionality requested through the Services, subject to our agreements with applicable service providers and applicable law.
Skumu does not treat Customer Content submitted through the Services as public content. Skumu does not disclose Customer Content to unrelated third parties except as necessary to provide the Services, comply with law, protect rights and security, or complete a valid corporate transaction.
Unless expressly authorized by Skumu in writing, users may not submit through AI-enabled features:
- Sensitive regulated personal information.
- Protected health information.
- Biometric data.
- Government-issued identification numbers.
- Financial account credentials.
- Confidential third-party information for which the user lacks all required rights, permissions, consents, or legal authority.
Users remain responsible for reviewing outputs and determining whether generated results are suitable for their use case.
7. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- Provide and support the Services.
- Maintain legitimate business and operational records.
- Comply with legal, tax, accounting, contractual, or regulatory obligations.
- Resolve disputes.
- Enforce our agreements.
Retention periods may vary depending on the nature of the information, the purposes for which it was collected, applicable legal obligations, and operational needs.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, organizational, and physical safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. Depending on applicability, those rights may include the right to know, access, correct, delete, and request information about the processing of your personal information, as well as the right to opt out of certain covered uses.

If we receive and recognize a browser-based opt-out preference signal recognized under applicable law, we will process that signal in accordance with applicable law.

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and Skumu does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the Services, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to investigate and, where appropriate, delete the information.

If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, processed in, and stored in the United States and other jurisdictions where Skumu or its service providers operate.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version and update the Effective Date above. Your continued use of the Services after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective constitutes acknowledgment of the revised Privacy Policy.
