Acceptable Use and AI Use Policy

Effective Date: July 13, 2026

This Acceptable Use and AI Use Policy ("Policy") applies to all access to and use of skumu.ai, app.skumu.ai, and any related Services provided by Skumu AI, Inc. This Policy is incorporated into the Terms of Use. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Use.

1. Purpose

Skumu provides software and AI-enabled functionality intended for lawful, authorized, and responsible business use. This Policy is designed to protect the Services, users, third parties, and Skumu from misuse, abuse, security threats, legal exposure, and operational harm.

2. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Services to:

  • Violate any applicable law, regulation, court order, or governmental requirement.
  • Infringe, misappropriate, or otherwise violate intellectual property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights.
  • Submit false, deceptive, fraudulent, or misleading information.
  • Harass, threaten, defame, stalk, exploit, or otherwise harm any person or entity.
  • Upload, transmit, or distribute malware, ransomware, spyware, destructive code, or malicious scripts.
  • Interfere with, disrupt, damage, disable, overburden, probe, scan, or circumvent the integrity, security, or operation of the Services or related systems.
  • Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, data, models, prompts, administrative areas, APIs, or infrastructure.
  • Use bots, crawlers, scripts, or automated methods to scrape, extract, harvest, mirror, benchmark, or reverse engineer the Services, except where expressly authorized in writing.
  • Use the Services to develop, train, fine-tune, validate, benchmark, or improve competing models, products, datasets, or services.
  • Submit content that you do not have the legal right to use, disclose, upload, process, or transmit.

3. Restricted Data

Unless expressly authorized by Skumu in writing, you may not submit, upload, or transmit through the Services:

  • Protected health information.
  • Biometric identifiers or biometric information.
  • Government-issued identification numbers.
  • Payment card data or financial account credentials.
  • Sensitive personal information regulated under specific legal or contractual regimes.
  • Confidential third-party information for which you do not have all necessary permissions, consents, and legal authority.

You are responsible for determining whether content submitted to the Services is appropriate for processing.

4. AI-Specific Restrictions

You may not use AI-enabled features of the Services to:

  • Generate or facilitate unlawful, infringing, fraudulent, abusive, or deceptive content.
  • Generate content for harassment, impersonation, disinformation, or evasion of law, policy, or security controls.
  • Test, evade, defeat, or extract model behavior, guardrails, safety systems, prompts, or filters.
  • Conduct prompt injection, jailbreak attempts, adversarial attacks, or other attempts to manipulate service protections.
  • Rely on outputs as the sole basis for legal, regulatory, employment, credit, insurance, housing, healthcare, safety-critical, or similarly high-impact decisions.

AI outputs are assistive only and must be independently reviewed by a qualified human before use in any material decision, filing, or action.

5. Security and Account Responsibilities

You must:

  • Maintain the confidentiality of account credentials.
  • Use reasonable security practices in connection with your use of the Services.
  • Promptly notify Skumu of any suspected unauthorized access, misuse, vulnerability, or security incident involving the Services or your account.

6. Monitoring and Enforcement

Skumu may monitor, review, preserve, remove, block, rate-limit, suspend, or terminate access to the Services or content where Skumu reasonably believes it is necessary to:

  • Enforce this Policy, the Terms of Use, or other applicable agreements.
  • Protect the Services, users, Skumu, or third parties.
  • Investigate suspected abuse, fraud, security incidents, or unlawful activity.
  • Comply with legal obligations or lawful requests.

Skumu is not obligated to monitor all activity and does not assume responsibility for user conduct.

7. Reporting Violations

Suspected violations of this Policy may be reported to:

8. Changes to This Policy

Skumu may update this Policy from time to time by posting a revised version with an updated Effective Date. Continued use of the Services after the effective date of the revised Policy constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
